What are the benefits of Whole30 diet?

I am looking and researching a proper diet for myself. I would appreciate if you share what are your thoughts, experiences, and takeaways from and about the Whole30?

I did a strict Whole30 a few years back and felt amazing. Lots more energy, a strong gut, GERD went away and did loose weight. Took time for me to readjust and create new food habits. At first you do read a lot of food labels but once you have your new go to’s it’s easy! I’m now a lifer with about 90% compatible to the Whole30 way of eating. All depends what your foods saboteurs are in your diet. The Facebook group ‘Whole30 Modified and Relaxed Group’ is an awesome support group that does not chastise you if you fail at times. They are totally uplifting and will help you out with any questions you may have. Best of luck on your journey and Cheers!

This diet claims to be beneficial for fat loss, athletes performance, and sleep quality. I've tried it in the past when I wanted to eat healthier. It helped me a lot to overcome food cravings and to stop eating sweets. It wasn't as mentally challenging as other diets since you limit some products for 30 days only.

When I first tried whole30 10 years ago it was in a desperate attempt to figure out a weird allergy I had. The program not only helped me figure out my food intolerances, it also helped me bring back energy and lose weight. Since then I had slowly gone farther and farther away from clean eating and my body paid for it. Last year I did a strict Whole30 to clean up my bad eating habits. Again my intolerance-induced discomforts went away. I have since then stick to a relaxed Whole30 habit. I have so much more energy, lost 30+ pounds and maintain it easily, and my blood work comes back looking very good!
