How do you overcome executive functioning and/or autistic inertia to enable you to cook?

This is something I struggle with a lot and even though I like eating, I rarely eat due to these issues, even if I have easily microwaveable meals.

I tell myself it's a food experiment, I only loosely follow recipies and just kinda go with the flow. I try not to worry about cleaning up, I know it's easier to "clean as you go" but if I do that I can't make myself cook. So I make cleaning a future me problem, cook what I feel like, and just enjoy the act of cooking and tasting. It's a little less strict and helps me get into cooking

for me, it helps if it's part of my mini to-do list. The to-do list is like a game/project for me where I have to check as much as possible to help me keep going. I keep the list posted in the fridge, or somewhere near my work table where I can see it often. It also helps if I do cooking together with the other things I need to do in one go. Though it's difficult for weekdays. so it's better to prepare meals in advance for the work days during the weekends. in this way you can save time and somewhat make it your microwaveable meals but the difference is, it's you who made it, making it more rewarding. :)
