Using oats for the blackberry crisp

How do you get the oats to where you can actually chew them instead of spitting them out or just swallowing them. My husband has no teeth on top and that makes it difficult for him to eat the oats
Andrea Bednarowski
You could put the oats in food processor

the oats are meant to be crispy and crunchy. maybe a solution would be to make a cobbler instead or dump cake instead 🙂

I always soak the oats overnight, best done in milk, makes it lovely and creamy.

Blackberry crumble might be a better option. Essentially, it's the same thing minus oats.
