Is being vegan difficult?

You will fail because someone will slide some meat past you but, It's not a zero sum process. Perfect is the enemy of good in this case.

Being vegan is a great way to smell better. Lol. So it's a process though. Start by letting go of meats and has a calendar of when fish goes when you're done with dairy etc. then when you're out and about you'll just suddenly understand. Because what you need to eat is beans, greens, mushrooms onions berries. Think of these initials g-bomb

I love it, why do you want to go Vegan?

It’s hard to become vegan “cold turkey”, but it is doable if you gradually wean yourself off, find replacement products you like and learn how to cook them, and remind yourself of why you want to go vegan.

How do I fix my potato waffles if they get stuck in the Waffle machine

I went cold turkey with it when I got diagnosed. I read a book by Dr. Greger called How Not to Die and the watched the Netflix documentary Game Changers. These were what initially influenced me to experiment for 3 months and see how I responded. I found my skin cleared up and a cyst on my back dissolved. My surgeon asked me if I had lost weight and I said a little but attribute it to the change in diet rather than cancer. He said did you go vegan because of the diagnosis and I said it did but I didn't expect it to cure it. I just wanted to maintain as much of my health as I could to give me a good chance. He said that the skin was the largest organ on the body and if it responded well to my new diet he said it must be doing good elsewhere. It's now being 2 years since I went Vegan and I have never been tempted to go back. I guess that is mainly because I had strong compelling reasons and it does help to stick it out. I love animals and am a Buddhist too so it all fits with my belief system. Good luck. I hope you manage to stick it out. There is so much out there for vegans now. It's definately a lot easier than it ever has been!

I started by adding meals to replace meat meals. It's a work in progress. But it definitely effects my body is a positive way!

My son is allergic to dairy and eggs, and won't eat meat. I had to learn fast. I bought a lot of vegan cookbooks.

Lower the pressure on yourself. Making mistakes is normal, especially at the beginning. The important thing is that you are trying and it is a learning process, but you will be fine :) welcome!

I work as a mover and find it incredibly difficult but my best piece of advice is to remember how it makes you feel when consuming animal products. There are tons of items that are available, just check the ingredients list thoroughly. It took me about 3 months to really feel a big difference in my health but I will never look back now.

For me it is not easy as you loose the spontaneity when it comes to 'grab something to eat'. I am not spontaneous so it is easier if you plan ahead and always have the basic this is in your fridge, apart from veggies and sprouts that you can practice growing quite easily. For example: Always have soaked almonds, cooked chickpeas, soaked lentils..... From almonds you can make milk ( as from other nuts and some legumes if you like) and seeds. Chickpeas you can use for either cooking and eat them as is, or in salads or make hummus with tahini paste, or make cookie dough and other things as grind/ mix in a blender or food processor and make buns, breads, tortillas, etc' The same you can do with lentils . It is always good to make one or two dipping or salad dressings. I find it way more difficult while travelling, cause on the plane the food chefs have little to less imagination ( my personal experience). While travelling, not always you will be close to a natural food store or market, so you must take that I to consideration, if you do not consume preserved foods or you prefer gluten free and/ or organic food ... It is a matter of practice. There are so many recipes in the internet so in that sense you are all set. Much luck in making your decision as far as being a vegan goes
