my cookies went flat

Why did my cookies go flat in the oven i did put them in the freezer to chill for like 5 minutes, is that the problem?

Your cookies went flat because the butter melted faster than the flour set up. Add either the optional, larger amount of flour or the starch. I would go with the starch as it will set up faster than flour. They are both in the ingredient list with the flour.

And be sure to chill them as per previous note and the instructions.
