Anything not used is easily lost.

Once you’ve set up a meal plan - create a list, it’s organised by area (though you can’t adjust that unfortunately). I usually look at the offers online before planning so I can ideally use the things on offer (though here some things are always cheaper like frozen spinach vs fresh, chicken drumsticks are often good, etc) we cook almost everything from scratch and use own brand where possible (canned tomatoes etc), some things are just too much hassle to make (like sweet chilli sauce - burns easily so I buy a big bottle of an Asian brand rather than smaller bottles of better known brands)
S
It doesn’t check your local stores for prices just buy less as only what you need for the weeks recipes :) (if you shop more than once a week just change your start day before creating the list and only plan the days you’ll shop for)

I set up a to try folder to save ones I see but don’t want to plan this week. Love this app - helps me plan for the whole week and then only buy what I need - plus makes it easier to try new recipes

I buy in season, in bulk, and put it all up. Making it into meal bases as I go sure makes the whole year easier.

I still have not found a good recipe for ketchup, though.

@S How does the shopping feature work? Does it help you find the best deals over local stores, or is it mostly just box brands?
Jackie Strom
Thank you for all the suggestions and tips! They are very helpful!

@Karri have to confess never made ketchup - mostly made chutney (usually when helping at local primary school)
