Is it expensive to be vegan?

I am making a plan for how to become vegan and have many questions. Is being vegan budget-friendly?

It probably depends on your goals. It is completely possible to eat Vegan on a budget. If you stick with whole food ingredients, you will find it more affordable than buying all the fake meat/cheese premade products. But if you don’t have time to cook, yes, it can be expensive if you buy premade items all the time.

Thanks Ivory. I am more encouraged to go to vegan everyday day. I tried this vegan pizza the other day and it was pretty good. 😉

I don't find it expensive. Actually sometimes I find being plant-based is cheaper! Especially with the rising cost of meat. I recommend: lentils, chickpeas, black beans, tofu, oat milk (I like to eat it with granola for breakfast), multivitamin with vitamin b12, frozen veggie pizzas when I am too busy/tired to cook. Vegan pizzas are expensive but vegetarian ones can be cheap where I am.

I find the most economical is big bags of dried lentils / beans and rice.

I love to cook. I usually meal-prepping for a few days in advance. Any vegan staples that you recommend?
