Does anyone know a good alternative for Yukon Gold potatoes?

I have never heard of these potatoes and was wondering if it is necessary to use this kind or if I can use any type of potato. Thanks

It’s yellow potatoes. They are delicious and creamy. The next best thing would be reds, but yellow is really what you want because they are so creamy

Any potato. Red potatoes would be great here because then you won’t have to peel them.

Yukon gold potatoes are the yellow potatoes. But mkolsen is correct, red potatoes would also work well. Probably not the white, russett potatoes, as they are quite starchy. Those are better for baked potatoes.
