What is the difference between a scone and a biscuit?
Melanie Snyder
I've always felt biscuits and rolls are small shaped breads. Scones are like muffins. I've always felt like muffins are small cakes. I'm not sure if that's helpful to you, but I hope it helps with whatever you're planning to make.

I think biscuits are flaky and scones are not, dough is prepared differently. I prefer scones with butter, jam, and hot tea ;)

hmm do scones have more sugar? I tend to associate biscuits as more of a savory baked good and scones as sweeter. Although I definitely add honey to my biscuits. We need a professional chef to weigh in on this one!

It literally depends on where you are. Southern biscuits are flaky but New England biscuits are basically scones. Cookies in other countries are biscuits so biscuits can have many shapes and sizes. Biscuits have the same basic foundations as scones so they might even be the same things somewhere else
