GF "safe" brands?

Can you name some GF "safe" brands for products that you use often in preparing GF food? A friend of mine is gluten intolerant and I've invited him for dinner, and it would really help me if I knew which groceries are safe to purchase. :) It would be even better if you have some recipe recommendations :D

My top three gluten-free brands would be Bob’s Red Mill, Mikey’s, Schär. My sister has celiac disease and she never had any problem consuming products from these brands.

Just look on the label even if it says gluten free it might have flour, gluten, wheat, yeast and rye, milk and diary can go with it
