Low Cal vs Low Carb

Most of the time, people on keto diets aim for low carb meals and substitutes. I've tended to notice that the lower carb a meal is, the higher cal it is. I'm wondering if there is a way to be low cal + low carb with keto. Any ideas? Please share

Hey, you are right. Keto and low-carb recipes usually have a low amount of carbs and high energy levels. This is coming from higher fats amount in recipes and carbs give 4kcal of energy/ g and fats give 9kcal/ g so this is why recipe energy is high. You can make recipes low carb and low-calorie at once but at the end of the day, you need to eat a high amount of fats to be able to stick to Keto or low-carb diet. Keep in mind that high fats in recipes do give higher kcal but also will keep you full longer so you will probably eat less high-energy meals. If you want to have a low-calorie low-carb recipe you can prepare meat and green vegies without added fats. You can also avoid nuts, cream, and fatty cheeses in recipes.
