Hey Dayeon :) From my understanding this dies is advocating for a vegetarian/vegan diet, since one of the basic principles of yoga is not to harm any living creature. Another important part is consumption of Sattvic foods which are easy to digest, and which promote health, vitality, strength and relaxation. Generally they include fresh fruit and juices, vegetables, herbs, honey, whole grains, beans, lentils nuts and seeds. It is also important that they are organic, if possible. On the hand, food to avoid on this diet are called Rajasic and Tamasic, and these are for example: meat, fish, coffee, black tea sweets, chocolate, food additives/colourings... And also foods which are stale, over-cultivated, packaged, preserved, and deep-fried.
This diet is more than just choice of which food to eat, it is important to be in the state of mindfulness when you eat, meaning that you are conscious of what you're eating, which will help with digestion, and also discovering the type of foods work best for you. Eatting at regular intervals, and fasting for one day per week are also some important parts of this diet.
I hope this was helpful :D
