Hi there, I want to try out baking without wheat flour. Can someone recommend the best alternative flour to use in pancakes?

My go-to option is oat flour. Another great alternative is almond flour but I do not use it that often since it is a bit expensive. Do you know that you can make both of these alternatives at home?

Thanks, @Minion cook. Well, I know how to make a homemade version of oat flour but I've never tried to make almond flour. How do you do that? Just mill raw almonds or you roasted them first?

You will get the best taste if you use blanched almonds. It is super easy to make almond flour, just blend it until you get uniform powder.

Thanks for the tip. Almond flour is a bit expensive so this seems to be a cheaper option for me.
