I have a badly burnt pot... Does anyone know how to clean the bottom of a burnt stainless steel pot?

Have you tried bar keepers friend? I swear by it for all stainless steel pots. You still have to use some elbow grease but it works super well. (The powder is the best). Alternatively, there’s a TikTok hack I saw recently that was using baking soda, salt, and vinegar.

BEST Solution for burnt-on food in pan: Put Dishwasher Detergent in pan (I never measure--just pour in a small amount) Fill pan or pot up with Hot water (just use enough water to cover the burned area). Leave overnight to soak. I have never had a problem cleaning it up the next day. Hope this helps!

I'd try filling up the pot with some hot water, adding some washing-up liquid and leaving it to soak. If it still doesn't come off, take a metal scourer to it (do NOT try this if your pan has a non stick coating).

oh yeah, I forgot about vinegar. Vinegar is a good thing to use as well.

Dawn has come out with a product that you spray on burnt pots and pans, works pretty good.
