What’s the difference between baking soda and baking powder
Danetta Young
Baking powder is actually baking soda with the addition of a dry acid. When using baking soda you'd need to add an acid like lemon juice or vinegar in order for it to work as a leavener. I learned that from following The Pioneer Woman.
