Let's share our best travel food experiences

In Florence, Italy, I've tried amazing rice gelato, and also the best pasta carbonara I have eaten in my life!

Great question! Some of my favourite travel food experiences have been in South East Asia at little road side ā€œrestaurantsā€. They donā€™t look like much, the plastic chairs arenā€™t the most comfortable, and the hygiene is dubious, but they always deliver the really authentic and delicious meals! Not to mention they are incredibly cheap. Iā€™ve enjoyed many Pad Thai and Panang curries from such establishments.

I tried a lama burger in Peru - not as pleasant, but ate really good ice cream in PortošŸØ

I've been to Singapore a couple of times and I would say they have must-try dishes: Chili crab, Baby squid, Satay and Hainanese chicken rice and the Milo Dinosaur. I'm drooling just thinking about it. šŸ¤¤I miss travelling! āœˆļøāœˆļø

Inspiring question! One of my biggest inspiration (and motivations!) for travelling are local foods and beverages. Great tip I got in Italy is "Always eat food where locals eat it and avoid touristic places!" That is how I tasted best pizza ever in Rome in a hidden, small family restaurant with only four tables. I enjoyed Rum baba dessert in Napoli (will leave you recipe in attachment, so simple and so great!).

I have tried crocodile steak, when I was in Australia. That was a memorable experience :)
