It's just a thicker tomato base in a can slightly smaller than spaghetti sauce. You purchase it usually on the isle where you find chili fixings. Don't get tomato paste in the tiny can if it calls for tomato sauce. You can get it hot, mild or plain.. I know Hunts sells tomato o good sauce. Hope that help 😃
