Canning question

Hello fellow canners. Was wondering if anyone can tell me if it is normal after a water bath, why do my jars and lids have a metallic film on them? Makes extra work afterwards to have to clean them off before storing in a cupboard. Would appreciate any help. Thanks! Michelle normal to have a

metalic film? i get a powder. if u add vinegar to the water it helps. maybe a different issue.

DO you have a metallic film on the exterior or the interior of the jar?

exterior. the jars all seal correctly. I have had this problem since I started canning about 5 years ago.
