I'm deciding whether I should get a slow cooker or a pressure cooker.

What are the significant differences between the two?

An instant pot can do both so no need to choose.

Insta Pot. I advise the insta pot brand, not too thrilled with other brands. pioneer woman insta pot is pretty but not happy with performance.

amen to the instapot. I literally use no other dishes as it can fry, pressure cook, boil, slow cook etc

Insta pot. It has a slow cooker option that cooks better than my stand alone slow cooker. Best multi function small appliance I own.

The slow-cook function on my IP is still pretty high, and I've scorched sauces in it, so I never got rid of my traditional earthenware slow-cooker.

Instapot will do both pressure cook and slow cook. As well as sautée, steam, and other functions.

get both if you have the room. they really do different things. the Instant Pot is a great tool, but I was very disappointed in it's ability to preform like a slow cooker on the slow cooker setting.

Instapot or pressure king Pro etc because it has a slow cook function also if you want slow cooked but fast then you can use the pot as a pressure cooker and get a slow cooked tasting meal in about 30 mins. Best thing I've ever bought.
