Dumb question, but: anything special to do prior to freezing?

So, I'm trying to get into meal prepping and I thought this was a great idea for weeknight dinners, but I wanted to know if there was anything y'all do to prep for freezing, E. G. Cooling, getting the air out, container recommendations, etc etc. Thanks!

Here are the tubs I use on Amazon. They also have a 32 ounce size which is perfect for marinaded meats! Green Direct 64 oz. Food Storage Containers with Lids Microwave Safe Pack of 8 https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B073WGS88V/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_02GG349S6B1F3C0582PB?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

Definitely cool down your meals before freezing. If possible get the air out but it won't hurt if you don't. Make sure that your containers are freezable. I prefer to buy containers that are freezable and suitable for microwave and dishwasher :)

I’ve been doing this for about 6 months now and absolutely love it! Some things I recommend: preprinted labels that you can quickly fill out and stick to the container or casserole dish. I also recommend finding containers that will fit in your crock pot/instapot. I used ziplock bags at first but it was a pain trying to get the frozen square soup into my crockpot. I found some round half gallon freezable tubs on Amazon that have been a game changer! I’m still new to whisk so I’ll see if there’s a way I can post links to the tubs and labels I use from Amazon ☺️
