So, the reason raw eggs are a no-no is because of the potential of salmonella. If you are buying pasteurized eggs (any eggs from the grocery store), the chances of salmonella are much lower. I would absolutely avoid backyard eggs, and even farmers market eggs, as they are not pasteurized, and the chances of salmonella are much higher.
To me, eggs in a smoothie just sounds like it would be gross. But from a food-safety perspective, the chances of a healthy individual getting salmonella from raw eggs is pretty low.
