I think it depends on the size of your slow cooker, cooking temperature and how long cooking process will last. But generally, slow cooker is considered to be energy efficient.

My cheap Hamilton-Beach 6-quart, on high, draws only 150 watts. In Illinois, power is about 14c/kW-hour, so to run on high for 6h 40 min is 14 cents.
