Depends on what you're cooking it in. I use an instant pot. 1:1 ratio of rice and water. I rinse the rice 3x to get the starch out then add the water. I set the pot on manual high pressure for 7 minutes. comes out perfect every time

I like to do mine in the microwave. I out the desired amount of rice (after rinsing) in a microwave safe dish with a loose lid. Then I cover the rice with water until the water covers the rice by about an inch.
Microwave until rice is cooked. In my microwave, it's about 5-9 minutes.
If you want more flavor, you can use broth instead of water.

You put water and rice(rince if you want) and let it cook until all the water waporates. water rice ratio depens on how soft you want them not all the rices are same you can choose one brand and it will take maks 3 try and stick with it until you get bored

Okay, I see a lot of tips here so thank you all. I would skip buying a rice cooker for now since I don't have a room for it at the moment but I will consider it in the future.

I cook it like potatoes. Lots of water drain when done. The movement of the boiling keeps the rice from sticking to each other.

a rce cooker is most accurate. especially If you use the cup provided. it has marks on the walls to show how much water to use. I never have luck with the stove top or instant pot

I second the rice cooker. of your family is eating rice more than once a week on average the appliance is worth it.

In a pan, rinsed rice in the bottom enough water to reach your 2nd knuckle on your index finger. Cover bring to boil then turn heat off, keep covered for approx 20 mins so it absorbs all the water, you'll end up with perfectly cooked rice
