Silicone cake mould

What is a good type of cake to make for a large silicone cake mould? Can I just use any cake recipe and then decorate with whatever frosting or icing I like? Or are there some kinds that would hold better than others? I have one train engine mould that I will use twice to create a 3D shape that can stand.

I'd look for a dryer kind of cake, since the silicone doesn't transport the heat the same way as metal does. That for me often leads to very wet sides which tend to stick to the mold a bit, even when the cake is really well done in the middle and completely cooled off. I would not recommend a super airy cake recipe as well, when you transfer the mold in the oven the softness of the silicone won't hold up that well for a bisquit to raise correctly. Tbh I've tired silicone molds several times, but went always back to metal - for me it works a lot better
