I started at the end of January and I have lost 38lbs thanks to loseit! and whisk.
I would say at this moment focus on the consistency of logging and measuring food. Keep within budget, but don't get disheartened if you mess up one or two days. After you get in a rhythm logging, you can add exercises and bigger lifestyles changes.
I have logged over 200 days of eating and I would say a third of them I have gone over calories. Mostly by a small amount of 100 calories, but bad days happen. Consistency over perfection.
