How much pasta per week is too much pasta?

Pasta is one of my favorite dishes and I am aware that it's not the healthiest choice and I should note eat it often, but I am wondering how much pasta is too much pasta?

you can eat whatever you want whenever you want as long as you are getting enough of each macro, eating the rainbow of veggies, and ensuring that your calories are in line with whether you wish to maintain, gain or lose weight. Also there is so many types of pasta, so you can have chickpea, rice, whole wheat, lentil etc. I like my dinner to be 600 kcal, and my carb to be 200 of that, so if I'm having pasta that is one serving, and then just make sure the sauce has ingredients that you're ok with and that you include plenty of veggies.

You can have it a few nights a week but just keep portion control in mind. Also, there’s a lot of hidden sugars in pasta sauces. 😎

Balance is key! A few nights a week would be the max I would recommend, and with this I would suggest trying a variety of different whole grain pasta types! Even add in some rice or chickpea pasta. And then just make sure you eat a variety of vegetables in each pasta dish - try not to repeat meals too much

A portion size of cooked pasta is one cup. (although if it's a tiny pasta like orzo, 1/2 is enough for me!) If you are varying your meals, and practicing portion control, you should be fine. Like edux suggests, different grains or non-grain pastas can be switched out regularly. Also give vegetable "noodles" a try.
