Honey subs?

What can I use instead of honey in vegan recipes?

I like using maple syrup! It does depend a bit on the recipe since it’s not exactly the same. I also have recently tried date syrup which I like (I bought it but I’m sure there are also homemade recipes)

you can also use agave nectar (also depends on what you use it for)

syrup made from berries can also work depending on the recipe!

i make my own date paste by throwing dates and filtered water in a sauce pan and simmer it until the dates are soft enough to blend in the blender when cooled. Add tiny amounts of water when blending to reach your desired consistency. Mine looks like smooth (almost pourable) applesauce when i’m finished. Store it in a tight sealed glass container or freeze in ice cube trays and pull out and microwave 10-15 seconds at a time until its just unthawed and use in your recipes. https://nutritionfacts.org/video/are-dates-good-for-you/. make sure you pit your dates before cooking if they are not already pitted
