Does it matter in what order you add wet and dry ingredients?

I know that general rule of baking is that wet ingredients should always be mixed separately from dry ones, but I am not sure in which order I should combine them.

It's up to you....Some bakers are meticulous and have to do it in the order it says on the recipe. While others just put them together in any order. It usually doesn't matter as they will all be mixed together anyway.

I normally start with the wet ingredients first so the dry ones don't clump together at the bottom

Depends on the recipe some recipes you need to go in order other recipes you can throw it all in. When I get to the dry ingredients I usually add the salt baking powder baking soda vanilla that kind of stuff into the wedge and then I had my flour that we in case I don't know use all the flour I still have the right amount of everything else.
