Sicily is all about fish and nunnata is their delicacy! The term refers to newborn fish which is almost transparent and soft that they are eaten whole fresh or frozen (totally unsustainable coz very small fish are linked in the marine biological food chain). They make a few pasta dishes with nunnata and you can always play with other ingredients in pasta (garlic, basil, fennel, lemon, chili).
