Which leftovers can I freeze?

Is there some rule on which dishes are freezable and which are not? I've noticed that I have been throwing away a lot of leftovers, and that does not have to be the case. I know dishes like lasagna and soups can easily be frozen and reused, how about others?

I think this is a mix of multiple things. The first is if the container is freezable, most are but if you have some flimsy containers then you might have trouble. The second is air. If you have too much air in the container your food is subject to freezer burn in a shorter amount of time then one that has less air. Other then that those are the only "rules" I'm aware of, hoped it helped!

Hi Emily, you did help! I didn't know about the freezer burn so thank you. I saw some vacuum containers with a pump in the store so I will probably get those.

Let me know how that goes! I typically only use ziplocks

Hi, @Emily. Vacuum containers did not work as expected 😑 The vacuum seal got loose in the freezer and then the air got in. So I will try ziplocks next time.

All left overs can be frozen. BUT you can't freeze them again if you defrost it and still have some left you can't refreeze.
