Mix pasta in sauce or just put some sauce on top?

I have seen some people adding the pasta to the whole batch of sauce and mixing it, while others just serve a bit of it on top of the pasta when plating it. Curious to hear which one is your go to and why?

I mix mine because I feel like you get more sauce that way

It really depends on the recipe for me. Usually, I prefer to put it on top, but sometimes I mix it in. Personally, I like it mixed in, but it looks prettier if you put it on top. Also, if it's a thin sauce, I would put it on top, but if it's thick, I would mix it in.
