What motivated you to commit to mindful eating? what helped you along the way? What are the benefits you experienced (physically and mentally) during your way? which food fuels your exercise best?

Thank you for the great questions Cherry. I'm still new to this app and trying to figure this whole communication thing out. It seems have a little to be desired, but we can work with it. Absolutely, I always willing to share this kind of info. it’s such a great way to learn and get inspired by others. I was not happy with the way I looked and felt very bad physically, I was just unhealthy. I was 235 lbs. and probably around 38% body fat, (not exactly sure). I was getting heart burn all the time and I knew it was from my diet and lack of exercise. So, I decided to make a change. March 14, 2019. I went back to the gym after about 5 years. I researched, made a plan, discussed it with my wife, and stuck to it. I have been waking up at 3:30 am every day since that day. and have not missed a day of exercise. I do it this way because, as a father of 3 boys, it’s the only time I have so I make it work. Now with over 2 1/2 years of consistency, dedication, and hard work, I am now down to 175 lbs. and eating about 2200 calories a day, for a moderate deficit. Generally, I eat a 40/40/20 split, but I am currently doing the KETO/Low Carb Diet with my wife. Her doctor has recommended it to help with some issues she is having with joint pain and carpal tunnel. Keto has so many health benefits, it really is a fascinating diet, and I find the foods to be very satisfying. But I am not opposed to other diets, and I like to try different approaches for a few months at a time so I don't get bored. In the past I have tried out paleo, OMAD, Warrior Diet, Keto, Anabolic, and 40/40/20. Diet Rule: 1. Minimize your processed foods 2. Eat whole or single ingredient foods 3. Safe Fats are Naturally Occurring, Avocado Oil, Olive Oil, Coconut Oil, Algae Oil P.S. Feel free to shar your own experiences as well. I also stream my meal prep every Sunday live on Twitch. So, if you ever what to see us cook some really good food and ask questions live. Stop on by and say hello, all are welcome. https://www.twitch.tv/phsycocommando
