Authentic Thai Cooking

Why is it that so many Thai recipes on this site always seem to have Soy Sauce, Peanut Butter and Sriracha Sauce?

From what I can see, the Thai recipes aren't mostly posted by Thai people, so a certain amount of faux generalizations about the cuisine should be expected. Sriracha has a disputed origin, but at least one version has it invented by a Thai woman. Soy sauce is essentially ubiquitous across Asia, although it tends to vary slightly. As for peanuts, both tree nuts and peanuts as well as chiles and many fruits were among the products Asia embraced from the Columbian exchange. Along with coconut milk, these are the products that fit our stereotypes of Thai food, but since I've never been to Thailand or even been to dinner at a Thai house (as opposed to a restaurant) I have no idea how off that is.

Thanks for the info. My experience is that of Fish Sauce in place of Soy Sauce, the definite addition of Coconut Milk, Lemon Grass as well as a diverse collection of Hot Chili's.
