You shredded your mozzarella Does the mozzarella have to be shredded or can I buy the already shredded mozzarella will it make a difference

I doubt it would make much difference but the preshredded stuff has anticaking agent in which tastes a bit weird to me

To add to what Naomi said, anti caking agents make it a little harder to make a cheese sauce as sometimes it can be a little grainy. But for anything else i usually just use the pre shredded.
