I added chopped carrots and sautéed all the veggies first. Then I added the spices and the garlic. I substituted 1 teaspoon of cinnamon for 1 of the teaspoons of cumin. I used 1 tsp of dried oregano instead of what the recipe calls for. I added 2 teaspoons of cocoa powder. Don’t forget to salt the veggies. I added 2 T of tomato sauce and then put in the turkey. Then I added 1 T of brown sugar. I followed the rest of the recipe as written.
