Instructions
Step 1
In a large bowl, mix together the butter, brown sugar, white sugar and peanut butter until well combined
Step 2
Stir in the eggs, then the vanilla, then the baking soda
Step 3
Stir in the oats 2 cups at a time. Then lastly stir in all of the m&ms and chocolate chips
Step 4
Cover the bowl and let the dough chill for at least an hour (this is a super annoying step, I know!)
Step 5
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees
Step 6
Form golf ball-sized cookies then flatten a bit onto parchment-lined baking sheets
Step 7
Bake for 10-12 minutes. Really keep an eye on them because they can burn easily (and I personally always err on the side of “underdone” cookies)
Step 8
Let cool on a cooling rack for at least 20 minutes – they can come out a bit crumbly so need time to set
