Step 1
1. In a slow cooker, combine the cream of mushroom soup and onion soup mix. Add 2/3 cup water. Whisk together until well combined.

2. Season the beef with the pepper. Add it to the slow cooker along with the mushrooms and stir to coat.

3. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours, until the beef is tender.

4. Serve hot with rice.

5. Store leftover beef and rice in covered container for up to 3 days.
