Instructions

Step 1
Dry Roast the Chana Dal until golden and aromatic
Step 2
Add Coconut, ginger, cumin, green chillies, salt and fried dal to the blender
Step 3
Blend them to a smooth paste adding water as needed
Step 4
Add more salt and chillies as needed

Tempering

Step 5
Heat the pan with oil
Step 6
Add Urad dal
Step 7
Add Red Chilli and the curry leaves once the dal turns golden
Step 8
When the curry leaves turn crispy, add hing and pour this over the chutney
