Sonic Ocean water , copycat

Sonic Water is a cool and refreshing beverage that's supposed to look like—and remind us of—the ocean. Not taste like the ocean, but have a beautiful blue color. Even though it's called Ocean Water, I promise it doesn't taste anything like ocean water. It does resemble the beautiful Caribbean though in its striking color. It's bubbly and sweet, with a hint of coconut flavor and tastes like vacation—even when you can't take one.

Step 1

Combine the sugar and water in a small microwave safe bowl. Microwave for 45 seconds. Mix until sugar is completely dissolved. If needed put back in microwave for another 20 seconds. Mix again.

Step 2

allow sugar syrup to cool completely. Add coconut extract. Mix.

Step 3

In a large measuring cup or bowl with spout, pour soda in. Pour syrup mixture with extract into soda. Mix gently. Add drops of food coloring to desired color.

Step 4

Fill 2 medium to large cups or glasses ice to the top. Pour mixture into each cup. Grab some straws and sip away!
