Here’s my viral ‘BEST Greek salad’ recipe step by step! I totally forgot to add the green pepper when I was filming but never mind, that’s life! Don’t let Instagram fool you, not every recipe goes to plan. So here’s my recipe step by step and hopefully the reel shows you a little more detail of how to make it. I know this isn’t necessarily the traditional Greek version but it was something I was taught and I personally love it. Can you beat the Mediterranean diet? So many colours and fresh healthy flavours.
Greek Salad Recipe serves 4 as a main or 8 as a side
1 cucumber chopped
Half a red onion sliced
500g baby plum tomatoes halved
1 green pepper chopped
4 handfuls of green pitted olives
2 blocks of feta cheese
Handful of chopped dill
Extra virgin olive oil roughly 9-10 Tbsp
Either Red wine/white wine/ACV vinegar
1 lemon
1. Mash 1 block of feta in a bowl with a fork and add a large glug of extra virgin olive oil (roughly 4-5 Tbsp) , a tbsp of white or red wine vinegar and the juice from 1 lemon.
2. Add the cucumber, red onion, baby plum tomatoes, green paper and a large handful of chopped dill. Add 1 block of feta cut into cubes or just roughly crumble into large chunks. Add a good glug or about 5tbsp of good quality extra virgin olive oil and mix everything together.
Definitely my favourite salad recipe all summer long.
