Instructions
Step 1
Preheat oven to 325°. Grease a bundt pan and loaf pan with butter and then dust with flour.
Step 2
Add softened butter to a large mixer bowl and beat at medium speed for 5 minutes. Gradually add in sugar while mixing and continue to mix until batter is fluffy and light in color. Set aside.
Step 3
Mix in eggs one at a time with the mixer running until all incorporated.
Step 4
Alternate adding flour and milk a little bit at a time and mix well.
Step 5
Add vanilla extract and incorporate fully.
Step 6
Add ⅔ of the batter into the Bundt pan and smooth evenly. Add the remaining ⅓ of the batter to the loaf pan.
Step 7
Place the Bundt and loaf pans on a cookie sheet and bake on the center rack of the oven for 1 ½ hours or until a sharp knife inserted into center of each comes out clean.
Step 8
Remove from oven and allow cake to cool 10 minutes. Loosen edges of cake with a sharp knife and invert onto a wire rack to cool completely.
