Instructions
Step 1
Heat oil in a heavy saucepan. Sauté garlic and onion for 3 min or until limp.
Step 2
Stir in tomatoes, broth, and tomato paste. Add parsley, oregano, thyme, basil, cloves, and pepper; stir well.
Step 3
Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer, stirring occasionally, for 1 hour until the sauce is reduced by a quarter.
