Instructions
Step 1
Preheat oven to 1. Preheat oven to 400F and bring a large pot of water to boil. Add cut in half green beans and let cook for 5 minutes. Place in an ice bath to stop cooking, drain, and set aside.
Step 2
In a large skillet over medium heat, cook mushrooms in melted butter. Season with salt and pepper and cook for 5 minutes. Add garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
Step 3
Stir in the flour and fully coat the mushrooms. Add vegetable broth and bring to a simmer, stirring, until the mixture thickens.
Step 4
Reduce heat to low and stir in oak milk, cooking for 5 minutes or until desired consistency. Add garlic and onion powder. Taste and adjust seasonings. Add green beans to sauce and stir to combine.
Step 5
Transfer mixture to a greased 9 x 13 baking dish and top with crispy onions. Bake for 15 minutes, until top is golden, serve warm.
