Air Fryer Sweet Potato Wedges

6 steps
Prep:5minCook:15min
Crispy on the outside, soft and fluffy on the inside, these air fryer sweet potato wedges are the perfect side dish or snack. They’re simple to make, full of natural sweetness, and much healthier than deep-fried versions. Whether you’re serving them with burgers, chicken, or a simple dip, these wedges always hit the spot.

Instructions

Step 1
Preheat your air fryer to 200°C (390°F).
Step 2
Wash and scrub the sweet potatoes (no need to peel unless you prefer). Cut them into evenly sized wedges — about 1½ cm thick — to ensure they cook evenly.
Step 3
Add the wedges to a large bowl. Drizzle with olive oil, then sprinkle over the smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and optional chilli flakes. Toss well until the wedges are fully coated.
Step 4
Arrange the wedges in a single layer in your air fryer basket — don’t overcrowd it. You may need to cook in batches depending on the size of your air fryer.
Step 5
Air fry for 15–18 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until the wedges are golden and crisp on the edges.
Step 6
Enjoy hot with your favourite dip. I love them with garlic mayo, sweet chilli sauce, or a squeeze of lime for freshness.
