Preheat oven to 450F
Step 2
On large rimmed baking sheet, combine potatoes, 1 tablespoon oil, and 1/4 teaspoon salt; tossing to coat. Bake for 20 minutes or until deep golden brown.

Meanwhile, in small bowl, combine butter and pesto.

Sprinkle steaks with remaining 1/2 teaspoon salt and pepper. In 12-inch skillet, heat remaining 1 tablespoon oil over medium-high heat until hot. Add steaks. Cook for about 6 minutes for medium-rare or until desired doneness, turning over once. Transfer steaks to cutting board. Let stand 5 minutes to set juices for easier slicing.
Step 5
Slice steaks across grain. Serve with pesto butter and fries.
