Instructions

Step 1
Mix peaches with sugars and let stand about an hour.
Step 2
Drain and save juice from peaches; set peaches aside. Preheat oven to 450°.

In a saucepan, mix cornstarch, spices, and salt. Slowly mix in reserved peach juice until smooth.
Step 4
Boil, stirring constantly, until thickened. Remove from heat. Mix in lemon juice and reserved peaches.
Step 5
Pour into unbaked pie shell. Cover with lattice, brush with milk and sprinkle with sugar.
Step 6
Bake at in preheated oven for 10 minutes, then reduce heat to 350° and bake for 30-35 minutes.
