Instructions
Step 1
For chocolate hazelnut syrup, combine 1/2 cup of chocolate hazelnut spread and 1/2 cup of water in a small saucepan. Heat the mixture over low heat, stirring constantly, until the hazelnut spread is fully melted and the syrup is smooth. Cool.
Step 2
Combine the bourbon, chocolate hazelnut syrup, and bitters in a mixing glass with ice. Stir until well chilled, then strain into a rocks glass filled with ice. Garnish with a strip of orange peel.
