Instructions
Step 1
Assemble, prepare, and measure ingredients. Pound chicken breasts to an even thickness of about 1 inch. Grate ginger. Zest and juice lime. Roughly tear or chop cilantro leaves.
Step 2
Pour sesame seeds into a shallow bowl. Season chicken with salt and pepper, then press both sides of chicken into sesame seeds. Set aside on wax or parchment paper.
Step 3
In a large heavy skillet over medium heat, warm grape seed and sesame oils. Cook chicken breasts for 6 minutes, then turn over and cook for another 4 minutes. (If your skillet is not large enough to hold all the chicken at once, cook it in batches) Turn down heat if necessary to avoid burning sesame seeds. Transfer cooked chicken to a serving platter and keep warm me you made the sauce.
Step 4
In the same skillet, melt butter. Add ginger and sauté lightly for about 30 seconds. Stir in 1 tablespoon of lime juice and the tamari and cook for 1 minute to allow flavours to blend.
Step 5
To serve, pour sauce over chicken and sprinkle with lime zest, cilantro. Serve immediately.
