Matty Matheson's Banana Cake

5 steps
Prep:1hCook:40h
Another Trish dessert that rules, I love banana bread and who doesn't love banana cake with chocolate in it this cake is maybe the moistest cake over. I know moist is a gross word, but this bread is soft and moist and sticky and kinda dense but not too dense, an when the chocolate hit's its crazy. I love taking a slice and putting peanut butter on it. I love sweets so much. I'm a glutton for sugar. i'm sorry. These desserts are all big winners and are from our house to yours.

Instructions

Step 1
Preheat the oven to 350F. Grease and flour a 12-inch round baking pan.
Step 2
Put the butter in a stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment and beat until fluffy at high speed. Gradually add the sugar and beat until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then add the vanilla.
Step 3
Sift the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt into a medium bowl. Add to the sugar mixture, alternating with the sour cream. Add the banana, walnuts, and chocolate chips and mix until blended. Scoop out the batter with a spatula into the prepared baking pan. Top the cake with banana coin, working in a circular pattern starting in the middle of the cake.
Step 4
Bake for 40 minutes, or until the center springs back or a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Step 5
Let the cake cool in the pan for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
