Pepper's Ghost
ABRACADABAR, a bar dedicated to magic, has a cocktail named for one of the most famous illusions at the Haunted Mansion: Pepper's Ghost. First used at Disney by Yale Gracey, the Pepper's Ghost effect created the partying ghosts in the attraction's ballroom scene. He's also responsible for Madame Leota and the singing busts in the ghoulish (but not too scary, per Walt's directive) attraction.
Be sure to check out Yale's standout window on Main Street, U.S.A.-it literally stands out! It's a small green bay window with this inscription: Buena Vista Magic Lantern Slides. Treat your friends to our Special Tricks.
We suggest a ghost toast to one of Walt's brilliant Imagineers!
